Arket – Welcome to ARKET
Arket, H&M’s sister brand, describe themselves as “a modern-day market”. We like that their brand essence is literally mentioned in their Welcome email, and more interestingly that the email itself reflects a stylish approach in terms of the design, copy and the tactics used to capture the customer’s attention.
In terms of the content of this welcome email, it exhibits a large range of products and categories that are available at Arket (e.g menswear, womenswear, kidswear as well as travel accessories and homeware), as well as also including a link to their only social media account- Instagram.
The overall design of the email is set out in a grid formation which, as a format, facilitates smooth scrolling for the recipient. The search bar, which is located at the top of the email, reflects the simple design of the company’s website and even though the search bar is not interactive, it is a powerful tool to drive click-throughs and contributes to a great customer experience as it allows simple access to their website.
Finally, the eye catching cartoon, which is located at the bottom of the email, depicts Arket’s wide target market. Next to the cartoon is a final sign off paragraph that expands on Arket’s mission: “… to democratise quality through widely accessible, well-made, durable products, designed to be used and loved for a long time”.
We love this email by Arket and would love to see other brands take a similar approach to their Welcome emails!
