January is about New Year’s Resolutions and the start of the Sales. The latter of which is renowned for inundating our inboxes! But, this email by Not On The Highstreet was one of the ones that stood out in terms of prompting the recipient to click through and take FULL advantage of the remarkable discounts on offer.
The “Thoughtfully Made Sale” used an effective countdown clock, alongside an eye-catching hero animated GIF image, which was envisaging a cookie gradually getting finished, with the urgent message “Ends midnight Monday” on it. This type of messaging was very well supported by the creatively formulated CTA button “Have one last browse”, which got us EVEN MORE tempted to click-through.
For those who’d be interested in browsing through only certain product categories, icons were included working as shortcuts for a simpler shopping journey. Iconography is a great characteristic of NOTHS emails.
For us, this email is a clear demonstration that well crafted design and engaging messaging is definitely a perfect combination to get consumers to click!
